Linden honey is very common especially in Northern Italy.
It crystallizes late, generally forming coarse crystals; the color is light amber when liquid, tending toward ivory when crystallized.
With a medium-intensity aroma, fresh and almost menthol-like, the taste is refreshing with medicinal notes.
Widely used and appreciated in herbal teas.
Linden honey is produced mainly in the Alpine arc or from cultivated linden trees in parks and urban tree-lined areas; it is a production not widespread throughout the territory but it is a notably aromatic honey that, like all unusual honeys, can either delight or disappoint.
It has a characteristic menthol-like scent, almost balsamic, with a refreshing and persistent flavor similar to its aroma and is particularly appreciated in the preparation of herbal teas or as a marinade ingredient
